I am a writer and scholar from Johannesburg, South Africa, and currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the History Department at Princeton University.
My research is concerned with making sense of climate change in Africa, with a particular focus on contemporary art and speculative fiction. I also work on projects related to youth, work and climate change at the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC), South Africa's national social science council.
I have a PhD in African Studies from the University of Basel, and Masters degrees in International Relations and Political Communication from the University of the Witwatersrand and the University of Cape Town.
My articles, arts criticism and short stories have appeared in numerous publications, and I am a co-editor of Lost Libraries, Burnt Archives (2023).
